National Speedo League

Kelly College swimmers proved too strong in the 1st round of the National Speedo League on Saturday night as they cruised to a comfortable win in Division 1 at the Keynesham Pool near Bristol. Competing against, Newport, Pembroke, Keynesham, Street and Caradon. Kelly were clear winners in 29 events and finished in either 1st or 2nd place in 46 out of the 50 events ending the evening over 100 points clear of Newport and Keynesham who finished in joint second place. The next round will take place in Tiverton on the 8th November, where Kelly will be competing for a place in the final in the Speedo League final to be held in December.

Individual Kelly winners included; Rachel Banfield (100m IM), Paul Brew (100m IM), Holly Yeo (50m and 100m Breaststroke), Becki Smith (100m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle), Jack Cockerton (100m Backstroke and Breaststroke), Russell Page Dove (100m Fly), Whitney Bowrin (50m Backstroke), Matthew Henry (50m Backstroke and 50m Fly), Laura Sprague (50m Breaststroke), Sophie Standford (100m Breaststroke), Annie Tinsley (50m Freestyle), Elaine Reyes (100m Freestyle).
