Medal Haul at Regional Biathlon Championships

15 Kelly College pupils qualified for the National Biathlon Championships at the regional biathlon championships at Tiverton. In the Biathlon the competitors swim and run separately with times being converted into points, to find the overall winners. The Kelly College team competed against athletes from all over the South West, with 6 individual winners and 3 winning teams in the boy’s youth B, C and D events.

Kelly College  triathlon coach, Rich Brady, said that all the team had a fantastic day, rising above their current level fitness, having only been back in training for 4 weeks after the summer break. The team can look forward to the National Championships in November with real possibility of every team member winning an individual or team medal.
