DCASA Development Galas

24th June - 7th August, 2006

Five Kelly College swim squad members took part in the Devon County ASA Development Galas at Exe Valley Leisure Pool in Tiverton over the last weekend.

For Thomas Every (9) and in year 4 at Kelly College Prep School, it was his first competition and he placed 4^th in the 200m Freestyle. 

Felix Davies (11), year 6 at the Prep School, and swimming 400m Freestyle for the first time, swam himself into 2^nd place and then went on to  gain a 4^th in the 200m Freestyle.

Rory Oxborough (12), had five events and gained 1 first (200m Individual Medley), 3 seconds (100m, 200m & 400m Freestyle) and 1 third (100m Breaststroke), with some very good personal best times.

Rhianna Stewart (14) swam a personal best time to place first in the 200m backstroke. Rhianna followed this up with a second in the 100m backstroke and third in the 100m Freestyle.

Rebecca Windemer (13) swam a brilliant 400m Freestyle to place 1^st in her age group, which she followed up with two fourths (100m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley).

The final day of competition will also be held at Exe Valley Leisure Pool, Tiverton on Saturday, 8^th July, 2006.
