Earlier this year Kelly College Swim Squad members took part in the British Long Distance Swimming Association’s one hour postal swim. The results have just been announced and congratulations go to Megan Mackenzie (14-15 years), Amanda Sanderson (Open) and Claire Cashmore (Category H1) for winning gold. Matthew Henry (14-15 years) also took first place, equalling the record held by Jack Cockerton in that age group of 5135m.
In the Girls Open Relay, Amanda Sanderson, Aoife Hurley and Megan Mackenzie won gold, with Jakie Wellman, Flora Duffy and Samantha Tubb taking the silver.
The Boys 14-15 relay team of Matthew Henry, Matthew Stacey and Joshua Lake came out on top. Silver was the colour for the Boys Open Relay consisting of Jack Cockerton, Daniel Kidwell and Saul Phillips.
