British Championships Day 1 – Monday 29th March 2010

Cameron Brodie 200m Fly – Heat 2.02.94

A great opening swim from 17-year-old Cameron Brodie who produced a season’s best time in the heats of the 200m Butterfly. Cameron seeded in a fast heat along side 23 year-old Joe Roebuck from Loughborough University, swam an excellent paced race turning at the 100m mark in 59.56 and came back to close the senior swimmers down on the last 100m. Looking strong in 2.02.94 and finishing 4th in his heat, Cameron narrowly missed qualifying for the Senior final, however, his recorded time ranked him 2nd in the European Junior Championship qualification process. Cameron swims later in the week in the 100m Butterfly, 200m and 400m Individual Medley.
