Victoria, Ella, Christie and Millie celebrate their wins.
Two teams from Kelly College Prep School took part in the regional finals of the ESSA Primary School Relays on Monday at Millfield School.
Each team had to swim a 4x25m freestyle relay & a 4 x 25m medley relay against some of the best schools in the region. The boys' team of Johannis Clifford-Flower, Jack Morris, Ben Dunlop and Nathan Linden were up first and placed in the fastest heat. They swam really well in both their races, achieving some personal best times, narrowly missing qualification for the National finals later this year. This was a great Performance from the boys, who are mostly Year 5 pupils, so they will get the chance to compete again.
Next up were the girls' team of Millie Murdoch, Christy Gold, Victoria Moore and Ella Ellis. They managed to win both their races by a clear margin to secure their places in the finals at Ponds Forge in Sheffield in June.
