
Kelly College National & County Squad Swimmers
18th Nov 2010: Ten swimmers from the Kelly College National and County Swim Squads recently took part in the Taunton Deane Open Swim Meet held at Millfield school on 17th-18th April 2010.
All swimmers competed well, gaining new PB’s and achieving many South West Regional Qualifying Times. Outstanding performances were achieved by 10-year-old Victoria Moore, who won a gold medal and swam a personal best time to set a new competition record in the 50m Fly (38.49).
11-year-olds Ella Ellis and Hannah Morris also won their gold medals in fine style, setting new personal best times and competition records in the 800m Freestyle (11:06.29), and the 50m Breaststroke (44.01), respectively.
11-year-old Millie Murdoch was also on record breaking form when she won a gold medal in the 50m Backstroke (38.94), setting a new Kelly College Age Group Record.
Other great swims which resulted in medals included: 12-year-old Dan Gillard, who won Silver in the 100m Breaststroke, 15-year-old George Humphrey, who won bronze in the 400m Freestyle, and 16-year-old Emma Bysouth, who also won bronze in the 400m Freestyle.
