Milly, Ella, Christy & Victoria
17th May 2010: Christy Gold, Ella Ellis, Millie Murdoch & Victoria Moore qualified for the National IAPS Championships held at the K2 Centre in Crawley on the 15th May 2010.
The girls were selected by setting the third fastest time at the South West regional qualifying rounds earlier in the year in which 194 schools competed in 33 regional qualifying events.
Having been pre-seeded in 3rd place going into the 4x25m Freestyle Relay final, the girls lifted their game to beat Millfield into 2nd place, behind Guildford, who took the gold medal in 58.42 seconds. The Kelly team finished in 60.13 seconds, which was a huge 5 second improvement on their entry time.
Each of the girls went on to swim a race in their own discipline, having qualified individually. Millie Murdoch made it through to the final in the 50m Backstroke and, in a very exciting and close race, finished in 6th place with a much deserved personal best time.
