Tom, Ella & Nathan
10th September 2010: 11-year-old Ella Ellis, 10-year-old Nathan Linden and 9-year-old Tom Brew from Kelly College Swim Squad collected 2 gold medals and a silver medal between them in last weekend's Plymouth Aquathlon (swim/run event).
The event was organised in conjunction with the Plymouth Triathlon, which attracted more than 195 competitors from all over the country.
First up was Ella, competing in the Tri Stars 2 category, which included a 250m swim and a 2km run. Ella led from start to finish in an impressive 12 minutes and 22 seconds.
Next from Kelly were Nathan and Tom, competing in the Tri stars 1 category. For both boys, this was their first ever open water aquathlon. Both Nathan and Tom had a great race, Nathan finishing 2nd in 8 minutes 30 seconds and Tom finishing 1st in 8 minutes 12 seconds.
