Cameron Brodie, Blaine Small & Molly Redford

Cameron Brodie has been selected for the Scottish National Senior Gold Squad, Blaine Small for the Scottish National Senior Bronze Squad and Molly Redford for the Scottish National Youth Squad for 2010/11.

Cameron Brodie, who turns 18 in a few days time and is studying for a BTEC National Diploma in Sport (Performance & Excellence) at Kelly College, has been selected for the Scottish National Senior Gold Squad. Cameron is a National Age Group Champion for the 200m Butterfly (17-18 years age group) and has qualified for the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi in October.

Blaine Small, who is 17 and studying for A-Levels at Kelly College, has been selected for the Scottish National Senior Bronze Squad.

Molly Redford, who has just turned 14, has been selected for the Scottish National Youth Squad for 2010/11.

Scottish Swimming will be inviting the swimmers to two Education Days this season, in Stirling (October) and in Dundee (April), for land-based training focused on the particular needs of the athletes. There will also be a camp in Stirling in December for the Youth Development Squad. Invitations are being issued at the discretion of National Coach, Doug Campbell, for a further training camp in July 2011.

The selection process for the Scottish National squads has been ongoing for the past couple of weeks, based on an analysis of swimmers' performances over the season.

The Commonwealth Games 2014 are a priority and Scottish Swimming is providing support to assist swimmers striving towards achievement at this level.

Congratulations to Cameron, Blaine and Molly on their fantastic achievement!
